Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd., together with its subsidiaries, engages in power generation business in the People's Republic of China. It operates through two segments: Power and Heat Generation and Others. The company generates electricity through various sources, such as coal-fired, thermal, hydro, wind, nuclear, and solar. It also engages in the import of power and related fuel; production and sale of alumina; cargo shipping; sales of coal ash and integrated application of solid wastes; wholesale of coal; and power and heat trading. The company was formerly known as Beijing Datang Power Generation Co., Ltd and changed its name to Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. in April 2004. Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 1994 and is based in Beijing, the People's Republic of China.
